It's up to you as an individual to grow in your personal relationship with Christ; however, as believers, we need the church to help us in our growth. We are also told in scripture that we need fellowship with other believers. The church is a place to come and be part of that fellowship. You can find comfort and strength in knowing you have a spiritual family that is there when you need them.
